Agapanthus Blue Sunfield

Beautiful large flowered heads of intense deep blue, free flowering.They will thrive in fertile, well-drained soil with plenty of sun, and can be grown in containers, but are a stunning long flowering edition to a summer border display, flowering June - September. If planted in pots, Agapanthus will need to be brought into the greenhouse in winter but if you have put them in the ground, they should be happy simply covered over with a layer of mulch for protection.

Try leaving the dead flower stalks on as winter decoration, they look amazing dusted with frost.Plant the rhizome only just below the surface. A sunny position is essential.
